Award-winning, always looking for the unique, and impeccably discreet, Andrew has gained a reputation amongst high-profile individuals as the photojournalist they can trust. The only photographer to ever work personally for four British Prime Minister’s, he most recently established the first ever dedicated photography department inside No10 as Director of Photography. He simultaneously worked as the first in-house personal photographer to a Prime Minister, gaining unprecedented behind the scenes access inside government to document Boris Johnson’s premiership, his up-close interactions with world leaders and his personal life, including every aspect of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A creative and imaginative photographer at heart, Andrew’s long career, starting as a news photographer in newspapers and for the Press Association in the early 2000’s, has taken him on assignment around the world. He has extensively photographed the British Royal family, winning the accolade of Royal Photographer of the year, travelling on overseas tours and covering every major royal event in the past 20 years including the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Andrew is also a respected war photographer, covering conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Bosnia. His arresting images taken in the moment a regiment, that he was embedded with, were ambushed and seriously injured by the Taliban in 2007 won him a prestigious War photographer of the year award.
Through his extensive experience advising on political and commercial campaigns, Andrew can bring an important photographers eye to any sensitive project or brand-building exercise. His consultation work provides a unique perspective on the power and potential pitfalls of visual content and presentation. This insight has already proved invaluable on high-profile government announcements and election campaigns.
